This machine is absolutely WONDERFUL! Although I was not a strong coffee drinker, I've become one now. Getting up in the morning is not difficult anymore and coming home and relaxing to a great cup is a definate plus at the end of the day.

At the most basic level, the Magic Comfort Plus is a fully automatic grind-to-brew espresso machine for the home. That means it includes an adjustable burr grinder for whole beans, along with a special funnel option that accepts different blends of pre-ground coffee--a nice option for people who want their own special cup or flavor. To enjoy a single, double, or triple espresso, simply select the appropriate option and press the button. The Magic Comfort Plus takes care of the rest by grinding, dosing, tamping, and extracting the espresso to your specifications.
Meanwhile, the unit's hot water/steam wand lets you froth milk for lattes and cappuccinos or merely serve up a little hot water for tea or hot chocolate. Add in such options as five brew temperature settings (with a range of roughly 10 degrees), a digital LCD display, and a Rapid-Steam feature and you have a versatile, powerful espresso machine that excels in virtually any kitchen.
It's the extras that really make the Magic Comfort Plus stand out, however. The digital display, for instance, tells you the actual mode and status at any time. Users can also change the language of the display or program the machine to periodically clean the filters that get bogged down with coffee oils. Furthermore, users can put the machine through an automatic decalcifying cycle to remove calcium buildup from the water chambers.
Saeco also includes a few select features to help optimize performance. The Saeco Aroma System, for instance, injects just a little hot water into the freshly ground coffee before the brew cycle. The grounds soak up the water and swell up slightly, which in turn helps maximize the flavor extraction. The Opti-Dose lever, meanwhile, lets you adjust the amount of ground coffee to be used for each cup. Adjust it from 6 grams (- sign) to 9 grams (+ sign), depending on how strong you like your coffee. Finally, the Caffe Charisma's Rapid-Steam feature allows you to froth milk and brew coffee at the same time. No waiting for the brew cycle to finish or adjusting the temperature. It's the perfect way to enjoy lattes and cappuccinos in an instant.
